I had one of these t-shirts, I got it at a RUN-DMC/Grandmaster Flash and The Furious 5 concert in the summer of 1985. I last wore mine, I believe, around Ft. Greene in Brooklyn during the summer of 1987, when the hostile looks got to be a little too disconcerting. But now you can buy it at Old Navy. I’m not sure what that means . . .

Nice slideshow of Brooklyn storefronts in the Times today. Scroll through and look for all-things-Russo, a stone’s-throw from our home. His eccentric storefront really popped out at us when we saw the BQE film and concert by Sufjan Stevens at BAM last fall.
